Gift of LIFE: RC Roosevelt Joins District 3780 in a Life-Saving Blood Donation Drive
The Rotary Club of Roosevelt proudly joined fellow Rotarians, partners, and volunteers from across District 3780 for Gift of LIFE: United for Lasting Impact, a district-wide blood donation drive that brought Rotary’s commitment to service into action—one blood donation at a time.
Held at the Multi-Purpose Hall in Camp Crame, the initiative united Rotary clubs, healthcare partners, and community volunteers with one shared purpose: to help strengthen the blood supply for patients facing surgery, medical emergencies, and other critical health needs. Hosted by the Rotary Club of Kagitingang Cubao and the Rotary Club of Camp Crame, the project also served as a celebration of service, gratitude, and the beginning of another meaningful Rotary year.
For the Rotary Club of Roosevelt, participating in the event was a reminder that some of the most meaningful acts of service are also the simplest. A single blood donation can help save multiple lives, offering hope to patients and families during their most difficult moments.
The event held special significance as it coincided with the birthday celebration of District Governor Rhyan Virrey, transforming the occasion into a meaningful tribute to Rotary’s mission of Service Above Self. Instead of celebrating with gifts, Rotarians came together to give something far more valuable—the gift of life.
The blood donation drive was further highlighted by the presence of Rotary International President Olayinka Babalola, whose participation reinforced Rotary’s global commitment to improving lives through humanitarian service. His message reminded everyone that Rotary’s impact is measured not only by the projects we complete, but by the lives we touch through compassion and collective action.
Throughout the day, Rotarians, Rotaractors, partners, and volunteers worked side by side to ensure the success of the activity.
