The Rotary Club of Roosevelt, with partner cxperts, fielded a 13-member team for the International Coastal Cleanup 2025, a global event held simultaneously in over 100 countries. In the Philippines alone, more than 40,000 volunteers took part, including our club. The project aimed to reduce marine debris, prevent ocean pollution, and promote sustainable practices aligned with Rotary’s focus on protecting the environment. Our plan included mobilizing members and partners as eco-volunteers, coordinating with organizers on safety and logistics, and covering assigned shoreline sections for systematic waste collection, segregation, and recording. Equipped with gloves, sacks, and orientation, our team ensured safe and efficient cleanup. The project benefited the community and the public by contributing to cleaner shores, healthier ecosystems, and stronger awareness of waste management.
