The Rotary Club of Roosevelt spearheaded a livelihood program for GK communities, in partnership with cxperts as corporate sponsor and the Meralco Foundation Institute (MFI) as training provider. The model is simple: identify GK participants, provide technical training, assess, and award scholarships. The outcome was inspiring—32 participants enrolled, qualifying for short- and long-term scholarships with MFI. In batches, participants will pursue courses in MFI’s next training schedule, and upon completion, graduates may also be referred to MFI’s partner companies for employment opportunities. By uniting Rotary, GK, cxperts, and MFI, this sustainable program empowers families with skills, livelihoods, and brighter futures.
