RC Roosevelt opened the year with Kapehan sa Roosevelt, a Classification Talk series designed to turn professional insight into immediate community action. The activity served as an active planning session grounded in Vocational Service and Community Service, guiding early engagement with the club’s adopted schools and barangays through purposeful dialogue and assessment.
Led by PP Egay Aguirre and PP Jules Chanco, the discussions focused on practical community assessment, ethical leadership, and sustainable project design. Members examined real issues raised by partner institutions, validated needs on the ground, and aligned proposed initiatives with Rotary’s Areas of Focus. The format encouraged participation and decisiveness, ensuring that planning translated quickly into implementation.
The outcomes were immediate and tangible. From Kapehan sa Roosevelt emerged B.A.D. ’Yan!, an anti-bullying campaign with Eugenio Lopez Senior High School; Unite in Motion: End Polio Now, a dance competition supported by a social media awareness campaign; and the Apolonio Samson Classroom Health and Learning Improvement Project, which addresses chalk-dust–related allergies among teachers under Disease Prevention.
With projects already underway, RC Roosevelt enters Q1 energized and excited to see these initiatives reach fruition and deliver lasting community impact through sustained collaboration, disciplined execution, and shared commitment to Service Above Self.
