In support of Rotary’s End Polio Now campaign, the Rotary Club of Roosevelt partnered with Region 1 clubs to conduct a community outreach project in Brgy. Silanganan. The primary purpose was to protect children against polio through the administration of oral polio vaccine (OPV) drops to infants and toddlers aged 6 months to 2 years old. Alongside the vaccination, a feeding program was provided to grade school children to promote proper nutrition, and a gift-giving activity was organized to share joy and encouragement. The project benefited approximately 150 children, while raising awareness among families about the importance of immunization and Rotary’s commitment to ending polio. This initiative reflects Rotary’s Area of Focus on Disease Prevention and Treatment and demonstrates how collaboration between clubs can directly support healthier, safer communities.
